      Pros

      I am well paid for the job I do. Location is great. Big company but small town location. Great place to raise a family.

      Cons

      Management lacks vision of where to take company. State Farm is moving away from being unique to being just like most other corporations. I don't like being called a "Resource". I am a real person not a widget!

      Pros

      State Farm is a great company with a wide variety of fields and positions. It has a great history and legacy.

      Cons

      I don't see many cons with working at the company itself other than the fact that pay in some fields should be higher. My particular department, After Hours Quote & Bind, is plagued by poor first-line managers. The supervisors tend to be terrible. There are notable exceptions, don't get me wrong.

      Located in cornfields of Illinois where winters can be nasty Very conservative community and company
