Pros

Given that you have a good agent to work under the training is valuable. Hours are typical. usually co workers are competent and will help you understand and train, you can be certified to sell P&C and Life health insurance very quickly if you focus and study.

Cons

At times it can be weird because you are competing with coworkers for customers( pay is usually based on comission)

Pros

State Farm loves to train its employees and keep them on the cutting edge of the market.

Cons

The upper echelon at State Farm is very greedy. THis includes agents. The annual salary is very small when you consider the hours put in the job and the stress related to all of the agency's pressure to sell more.

Pros

The opportunity for advancement is really good. The company has a strong promote from within culture. The benefits are also really good.

Cons

The downside is that there are employees and managers on the fast track to success and will stay there at any cost.
