Pros
Working for a State Farm agent gives you the opportunity to get licensed to sell insurance and get your feet wet in the insurance industry. A lot of agents pay commission so your base salary doesn't always reflect your actual earnings.
Cons
Be careful which agent you work for, not all agents provide benefits and fair compensation for their employees. It is also frustrating to see some of the benefits State Farm employees have that you do not. Remember- you will be the employee of an agent, not the company itself.
