Pros

Great work-life balance, international and young environment. Nice colleagues, good location. Good activities organized by social commitee. Good pension scheme.

Cons

No career progression AT ALL, people hold their positions for 3-4 years, regardless of merit or contribution. Any advancement is based on seniority only. Poor interaction between teams. No communication between staff and management. Poor training, you have to go and get informations (when people have time to answer you). Work is not organized.

Layoffs and offshoring

Pros

It used to be a place you were proud to name as your employer. Now the pros are limited to a decent vacation policy, co-workers are generally good people, employees are given two paid days each year to participate in community service.

Cons

The threat of layoffs has loomed constantly for many years while jobs are simultaneously being offshored to India, the Philippines, China, etc. Consequently, morale is very low and overtime is high among client facing teams as they struggle to keep clients happy in the face of the offshore challenges.

Good place to start

Pros

The company has great technology and benefits. The hours were long at times but I and others were rewarded for that. It's a good place to start and gain experience. There are avenues of growth and different areas of the company to get into to. Where I worked, the environment was inclusive and they cared

Cons

The pay is very low. I took a lower position at a competitor and the pay increase was huge. With the great technology and automated processes, the trade off is that employees can lag behind in their overall knowledge of their roles compared to other companies.
