Pros

The benefits: 3 weeks of vacation immediately, 4 after 3 years. WFH several days a week. 10 Federal Holidays, 2 personal days. Day off for your birthday. 401k matching at 5% in June 2023. Employer contributes $500 to HSA for a single individual every year.

Cons

Not enough diversity, ESPECIALLY in upper management. Not enough "younger" individuals in executive positions - company is stuck in the past. Very little room for growth anymore, especially if you haven't been at the company for at least 5 years. Employees don't matter; we're replaceable by AI, or just not replaced at all. They do layoffs and reorganize the company way too often. They don't rehire when ppl leave. Nearly every team and every department is constantly doing the work of 3+ ppl. Outsourced too much to India, without giving the teams in India enough time to learn the information. Requires a lot of interaction and cooperation of several teams to get your job done - but no one is willing to be helpful or cooperative. Way too many ppl in management positions (AVP+) who are rude and completely unprofessional, but somehow manage to keep their jobs and get promoted. Might be better now, but there has been a history of promoting "yes men." Too much promoting ppl who have been there for a while, vs promoting ppl who go above and beyond, or who are actually good at managing ppl. I stayed for 11 years because I didn't know what else to do. Eventually I couldn't take the stress and complete lack of work-life balance, even though I had been WFH for 5 years straight. It honestly felt like an abusive relationship - they do enough to try to keep you (sometimes, for some ppl), but then you agree to stay and feel hopeful that things will change, only to realize that you were a fool to think that anything would change. Left because my life is worth more than letting them squeeze every possible ounce out of my soul. I didn't have another job lined up. (I gave a full months notice because I respect my team and didn't want to leave them in a rough spot).

Pros

Great vacation and benefits. My team members were also great to work with.

Cons

Pay is subpar. Senior management doesn't have a clue about how thin their operations teams are. The amount of NAV errors that will happen as a result of this will be astronomical in the next 1-3 years.
