Pros

The job requires no thought and it is easy to fake you way through the day.

Cons

There is no motivation in this job. Promotions, salaries, and bonus are based on time served and very little on actual skills. The salaries are a joke at this company and show no sign of improvement. There is daily emails and postings reminding you of whatever corporate bs management is trying to push. I can't emphasize enough how much working for this company sucks.

Get hired right out of college and leave as soon as you can

Pros

Easy to get hired, easy to move around, opportunities for overseas work. Good people, if you are in the right group. Education benefits used to be good. For what it's worth, the company handled the recession better than some other financial institutions.

Cons

People don't matter to this organization, no matter how much it might pretend otherwise. Promotions usually amount to nothing but a meaningless Officer or AVP title with more work, but little pay increase. It's a revolving door of constant layoffs and overworked people fleeing the poor pay and average benefits and the young college grads filing in to replace them.
