Pros

Good location in Boston, pretty fair vacation policy, good benefits

Cons

Low pay, low morale, no incentive, and little reward for good work. If you don't fight for a promotion they'll keep you in your position as long as they can

Pros

State Street has a solid reputation in the industry and touts innovation as the way ahead. The company is a springboard. A lot people start here, gain some experience and move on to bigger and better things. If you are bringing on new business you are rewarded. If you can suffer through a year and manage to secure an internal transfer then you might be able to find a decent salary increase.

Cons

Low salary. Raises are pitiful to the the point that they border on insults. Little to no room for advancement. If you do all the work for the clients that the sales team brings on, you don't get rewarded. If you can't transfer then you're just stuck going through the daily grind of "office space", printer jams and all.
