Pros

It was an entry level job so co-workers are all around the same age and they are all just out of college.

Cons

Everything was done the same as it had been for a long time instead of upgrading with technology. The job involved the same exact steps every single day. Ideas for improvement were not heard by higher management.

Treated well. Great people to work with. Great severance package.

Cons

Layoffs, large company, can become lost in the sea of employees.

Great place to learn

Pros

You can learn a lot if you care to, there are many people that dont want to learn outside of the their daily process, so one can stand out by taking interest in the overall bigger picture.

Cons

Job consists a lot of data entry and not much analytical work. Outsourcing has taken away many of the fundamental tasks needed to build a conceptual foundation of fund accounting/custody banking.
