Pros

- Work life balance. - Strong cost leadership. - Acquisitive organisation - opportunities often exist to support integration of target organisations. - Opportunities for international travel and relocation exist

Cons

- Cost leadership at the expense of effective client support. - Aggressive outsourcing of operational functions was completed too quickly, without effective knowledge transfer to JV. - Limited specialist knowledge remains within local office.

Pros

benefits are good when you are allowed to use them. the company as a whole is very good about keeping employees informed.

Cons

the fund admin team in KC is a money maker for SST so a lot of what happens in the department gets over looked

Pros

It depends on the group you get placed into. There are many good leaders and managers scattered around the organization. If you are fortunate enough to work with these individuals, do what you can to learn from them. There are tons to be learned and most people see this organization as a stepping stone to further their careers. It is true, in that respect, but it's up to the individual to be proactive, learn, and to fight to earn what's deserving to him/her.

Cons

Most people gripe about it, but the salary is subpar compared to SSC' competitors in the industry. Also, it can be frustrating when dealing with less-than-motivated colleagues and excess amounts of overtime.
