Pros

Being able to list State Street as an employer on my resume

Cons

More than I can begin to enumerate. Run away while you still can. Extremely toxic managerial structure, extreme incompetence and ignorance from those in MD roles and above. Almost every AVP and below I knew was treated horribly, expected to be on call at all times of day for any reason no matter how insignificant. Public ridicule on calls in front of others. Extreme micromanaging and scrutiny for things as simple as how e-mails were worded; not to mention the extreme lack of concern for COVID or flexibility in working from home. I felt like my mental and physical health was not considered for a minute. Even after I had very public break downs on the job. Toxic. Do not work here.

Pros

The only good thing about State Street is its benefits which are comparable to most companies in the space, however, they only have high deductible plans to choose from.

Cons

Most of the company employees have not got a salary hike in over 4 years. The company leaders do not understand the competition in the technical space and think it's okay to deprive employees of their deserving appraisals every year. This makes it extremely difficult for the line managers to retain employees as there are plenty of competitors in the market who would be glad to hire them on 1.5 times their current salaries.
