Pros

Great benefits, lots of training for managers or supervisors, and a lot of holidays off.

Cons

Savy individuals learn to play the system. Often they even know how to conduct themselves during an interview to be the top candidate.

Pros

If you're looking for a work environment and job tasks that never change, then this is the employer for you. You do get a monthly salary, a full benefits package, vacation, and sick leave.

Cons

If you have a college degree, this is not the employer for you. Once any of your co-workers find out that you have a college education, you're considered a threat and treated badly. The work environment is definitely not professional. The people that sit at their desk and paint their nails, give customers the wrong information, and don't know how to complete their job tasks correctly are the ones who get promoted. The salaries aren't competitive anymore and the benefits package is considered one of the worst. The training opportunities or personal growth are not very good. You'll also have to endure mandatory furloughs (sometimes as many as three a month) if there are issues with the state's budget.
