It's gone drastically downhill. Was warned by many former employees. Tried it anyways. Should have listened to them.

It's a remote job you can live off of if you are desperate, but there isn't any security, and you will be monitored and trimmed ASAP.

Editor I work with is horrible. Those who rise to the top are the ones willing to step on others. This wasn't always the case. Years ago, editors were on the writer's team and would work with them. Now they are clearly there as the "screw turners" for higher ups, and nothing more. In the case of this editor, his own work is poor quality clickbait of a variety worse than Static Media's. He's only written two articles for this company, years ago. He is not interested in helping his team be better writers, just better cogs. He gives the impression that he is at best indifferent and inconvenienced by editing your work. Really bad taste in my mouth with this company and that editor. Things have gotten so much worse here. Trust your gut. Find something better, human, with potential to learn and grow. This ain't it. Which is why I'm leaving.
