Not worth the stress

Pros

Benefits are great. People on the floor are great once you’ve gained their respect. Bonuses have been really good.

Cons

Many people have quit or retired and the company isn’t replacing them. Whether they’re non union or union. This will cause upper management to give you more work without any additional compensation. Pay raises are an absolute joke. Salaries are low as it is. Upper management is reactive, not proactive. They wait until equipment fails and shuts down assembly to do any maintenance or upgrades. The higher level you go, the less intelligent they are. Worry about keeping the people you have left. It’s too late for me. Once that bonus check clears, I’m out. If we even get one since union contract is being negotiated right now. Regardless if I get a bonus or not, I’m out.

Pros

Pay is nice and good benefits. Pay for tuition usually 5000 a year

Cons

From time to time you have to take where they put you in and really unorganized. Sometimes forced to work OT days which can conflict with real world stuff you may have.
