      Pros

      The owners trust their employees and compensate us fairly. We are paid for drive time and mileage at the IRS rate. I have so much more autonomy than I had when I was working for the other large hospice in town. My ideas are taken seriously and valued. It is the owners' philosophy that the best way to take care of their hospice patients to take excellent care of their employees! Being a smaller company, we are able to provide much more consistency and higher quality care than the hospice I previously worked for. 3% match on 401k contributions.

      Cons

      It would cost over $900 A month if I needed to add my 50-year-old spouse to my company health insurance plan (though that is still hundreds of dollars lower than the "affordable care act" plan we could get). Also my dentist would not accept the company dental plan.
