Stoel Rives has great clients in the renewable energy industry. The non-pay benefits are better than many law firms.
Cons
Terrible managers with no interest in developing or retaining talent. It is a revolving door of associates even when compared to other large law firms. Firm management ignores the bad behavior of individual attorneys if those attorneys contribute decent earnings for the firm. The diversity at this firm is abysmal. The hours can be comparable to top tier large law firms yet the pay is a small fraction of market rates. Further, pay is determined on an individual basis, sometimes tied to an individuals practice group.
