Pros
My manager had vision and took advantage of developments to keep the department competitive with other companies. Also, CEO was a great motivational speaker. Also was always ready to listen to well-thought ideas from employees.
Cons
Very political environment. The company was very clever in making timely acquisitions, but then was very poor or indifferent when it came to controlling ensuing turf wars with existing groups. Often the winning faction was not the one best positioned to advance the firm's agenda, resulting in subpar performance on the part of demoralized employees.
