Thank you for your response. Our Store Manager and Assistant Manager positions can be demanding, but we are very transparent about that before we offer anyone the position. In our interviews, we clearly go over all expectations, including the less than glamorous aspects. But we offer many perks to help make those things not so bad. We provide uniforms for our store staff, including heavy winter coats! With each location only have one manager and one assistant manager, these leaves more commissions up for grabs!

Pros

You get Sundays and holidays off. RRSP matching is very good, but not worth the cons listed

Cons

You see your stores massive profit margins and then you see your pathetic paycheck. 80% of customers are borderline abusive, You are expected to work the 1st and last day of every month with no exceptions, and you will never have the help you need because the assistants don't make a living wage. You are expected to be on call 24/7 with no extra pay, unless you end up physically going to the store (that means no going out of town on your days off, or going to the movies after work), but if you sleep through a 2 am phone call, management will chew you out. You'd think if you help earn your store record profits, your year end bonus would be more than an insulting $50 They claim you will have great commission opportunities, but most of that's only on in person rentals. Most rentals come through the website or the call center, so you get nothing. They raise rent on customers with little notice, and you are the one who has to explain to the customers the reasons their rent went up 20% overnight, while you yourself will be struggling to make ends meet. Rapid expansion of the company has left it with an infrastructure deficit in IT and Customer Service, and you will bear the brunt of that

Thank you for your feedback! We’re glad to hear you appreciated the RRSP match and time off, and we’re sorry to hear the compensation didn’t meet your expectations. We review our commission structure annually in support of both business goals and employee incentive, and your input is valuable to that ongoing process. Regarding the $50 bonus you mentioned, it sounds like you're referring to our annual "Turkey Bonus." This tradition began as a way to provide employees with a holiday turkey and has since evolved into a $50 bonus as we have grown - allowing more flexibility while keeping the spirit. It's intended as a small gesture to celebrate the season. We appreciate your input and thank you for being a part of the team.

Thank you for taking the time to share your feedback. We’re pleased to hear that you’ve found your work environment easy going. We truly value team members who are interested in growing with us and encourage you to connect with your Regional Manager to discuss development opportunities that may align with your goals. For example, we recently introduced the Field Training Associate role, designed for high-performing team members who are interested in developing their leadership skills by training and mentoring new employees.
