Large facility with great tools to work with.

Cons

Ppl complain a lot. Not a lot of sanitation practices in place. Co workers micro manage in the cake room. Some ppl look busy but aren't productive. You don't have your own station and coworkers feel like their seniority has earned them a particular workstation and feels tools are solely theirs to use. Management condones this behavior. Don't pay well for experience.

Things are improving after Ken "Bad" Diehl Fired as President

Jeff Strack is working hard to return the stores to their former glory after the horrible 18 months that Ken "Bad" Diehl led the stores to sales losses and alienated management, hourly workers and long term customers. It has only been about 7 months since Ken was fired and Jeff installed as President. It will take time o build confidence internally and with the customer base, but I am confident that Jeff is the right person to do it. Many management and hourly associates are behind him, as well as former employees.

Cons

It will be a slow process bringing back customers who were soured by the poor business moves of Ken "Bad" Diehl.

Jeff Strack is an outstanding leader with a lot of heart and is very compassionate to all of his team. We are INDIANA MADE and we ARE your neighborhood Grocery Store. Love the employees I manage and my management team I work with. We work as a team and succeed while doing so. Great benefits.

Cons

Can be stressful at times... but that's like every other job. Hours are long.. but hard work and dedication pays off.
