Pros
The initial salary negotiation was easy, as well as the interview process. SA is a small enough company where you can get to know many of the other team members. Although we haven't had many in-person events during the pandemic, we have kept in touch with virtual events. I feel like I can ask questions when necessary, but I also have the freedom to make the decisions I was hired to make.
Cons
Because this is a small company, the loss of a contract could mean lay-offs for several people. This is the nature of government contracting. Nonetheless, there are a few folks who have been with SA for 10 or 20 years.
