Pros

The people are great to work with and the holiday parties are awesome. They have a decent culture too. The training is decent if you’re new to recruitment

Cons

They’re salaries are insanely low. They start everyone at $38k ... with ZERO commission. They give you a minuscule bump in salary per 2 placements. After 8-12 placements you switch from low base no commission ... to NO SALARY with commission. It’s insane how they’ve gotten away with this for so long.

Pros

As a current employee, I'm very grateful that Strategic Employment takes the time to really work on your development. Especially as an employee with no prior recruiting experience. Failures are greatly looked upon as growth opportunities. Really enjoying my time here.

Cons

The company is tightly knit together and if you aren't willing to go out of your way to be a part of the culture, you could find yourself out of the loop.

Pros

SEP is the most ideal place to begin your recruiting career. You are not simply a number within hundreds of other recruiters as common with other agencies. The management and leadership here truly invests in you with hands on training and develop you towards success. The team based culture here promotes collaboration and sharing resources for collective gain. You have the environment and the opportunity to eventually lead your own team and earn lucratively. Personally, it was an easy decision to join SEP once I got to meet the people that I would be working with.

Cons

The resource and support is there but you really have to be able to couple the knowledge with hard work and dedication. It is a sales driven occupation so you have to have the grit, resilience and motivation to overcome the short term losses and achieve the big wins. If you are looking for a typical 9-5 fixed income job, look elsewhere.
