Very trusting, laid back, helpful team, great management, good culture

Pros

The people I get to work with day in and day out are truly world class; from colleagues, to leadership, to clients and prospects. The leadership team cares deeply about creating a culture that inspires folks to do their best work. Individuals work with a high level of care. This place is as real as it gets. From a sales person's perspective, my favorite aspect is the ability to contribute to a growing company in a big way. I've never felt micro-managed or like just a cog in the wheel. You can't hide from your work here because everyone's work is important and client facing. If you are interested in punching the clock, doing the bare minimum, and relying on management to layout your day, you should probably look elsewhere. If you are self-motivated, self-reliant, trustworthy, and willing to push your comfort zone, then you will be rewarded and SIS may be a great fit! I mentioned clients/prospects... there is HUGE potential and opportunity for growth in our space. It is fulfilling to build relationships and have meaningful conversations with the people in this industry. The positive impact SIS has on it's customers is rewarding and often transformative for both organizations. That is a lot of fun to be a part of. I've always felt valued as an individual and treated with respect. The ongoing training with a blended focus on both personal and career development seems unmatched and uncommon. I've got many friends/relatives who are impressed when I share stories and ideas from the company wide training provided at SIS. This organization also has an active philanthropy arm that invites employees to participate in various programs/outings/campaigns to give back to the community. These are typically great opportunities for team members to contribute and demonstrate their skill set outside of their particular "day-to-day" role.

Cons

It will be difficult to stick around long if you aren't ready to jump in with both feet.

Pros

The team at SIS is a joy to work with! After being here for close to a year, it is clear that trust and training are at the heart of the company. Having the trust of the leadership team is huge. Most people flourish under the leadership teams that trust they have hired the right people for the job. The leadership at SIS has shown time and time again that they trust their teams to get things done. The people are the reason that working at SIS is so pleasant. There is a very strong push for partnership and working together. That goes for in the office and with clients. The customer service team handles each case with grace and strives to help the client as best they can. This is not a stagnant company, growth is essential. We hold regular training sessions and continue to work on skills to offer a better experience for clients and employees. My experience at SIS has been nothing but positive. My coworkers are friendly, the leadership is kind and wants each individual to succeed within the company. I am grateful for a place that sees the value in a strong team.

Cons

During certain seasons, things can be pretty fast-paced.

Good People, Challenging & Rewarding Work, Not Likely to Advance

Pros

-Relaxed atmosphere. -Great team members (friendly and helpful). -Will learn a lot and develop skills. -Good compensation and ability to earn monthly bonuses for performance. -Great client-base. -Standard PTO and benefits. -Community involvement.

Cons

-Not many people have been promoted who weren't family or friends of upper management. -Not enough women in leadership roles. -Managers tend to make negative comments about people when they leave, even if they leave on good terms. It's extremely unprofessional. -All about "culture" ,but it seems as though the culture is repeating phrases from the leadership books and not actually doing what they say. -Have a tendancy to create recurring meetings, then cancel them last minute. -No 401K match, even though they've been saying it's coming for years.
