Stingy with salaries and raises

Pros

Friendly coworkers at the support level

Cons

Talk is cheap regarding DEI. Abismal pay for the level of work completed and job descriptions are severely undersold (you will do more than what you expect). Good work is not rewarded with promotion or increase of pay. Cost of living raises are treated as a courtesy not a right, and don't match the cost of living increases in the area, so you are essentially continually paid less and less each year. Workers are treated like they are lucky to be doing the job, instead of the organization being lucky to have the workers. You are underpaid for the sake of a "mission," and not paid what you need to live in the community you serve.
