Pros

No micromanaging for the most part. Ability to structure your day as you wish though this is subject to change with new policies continuously being implemented

Cons

the workload is overbearing and unrealistic expectations are constantly being set. systems are constantly changing and glitching.

Pros

The pay is really good for the amount of work required. The students are non-traditional, international, adult, and veterans. No one is breathing down your neck and micro-managing you.

Cons

It gets lonely, no real camaraderie or fellow colleagues to engage with when on campus. There are many emails and optional Teams meetings that feel unnecessary. The people you do come into regular contact with are merely office employees working at a for-profit, private institution. As an academic, I feel kind of like the odd-man-out. The place runs like a business, but is quite efficient, however.
