Pros
All remote with a flexible work schedule. Benefits were decent.
Cons
Stride went from a company that valued its full-time employees and would try to let go of contractors first - to a company that culls senior employees at least twice a year. To say it is demoralizing is an understatement. It doesn't matter how good you are, how many awards you win, how many projects you lead, or how much you produce. You will eventually get laid off - unless you are one of the yes-people who doesn't question or push-back on projects that everyone agrees will never work or need to be rescoped to be viable. There are so many people in management and especially upper level management who don't have any background or experience in what they are managing and it shows. Many other people have been there for years and have never gotten a promotion while others get a promotion every other year. Raises are non-existent as well. I got less than 2% each year. The bonus off-set it somewhat.
