Depending who your GM is he/she may not work with your schedule when it comes to going to school. If you’re wanting to getting promoted you need to hound them & hound them even more for them to train you right. I held my ASM “Trainee” tag for 6 months before I even got my official ASM Tag. And even then the training was sloppy & inconsistent. The job gets boring easily. Not many people last a week there when starting out.

You spend a significant amount of time learning the stripe way of doing things rather than going out of your way to do the core functions of your role. However, there is still an opportunity to make an impact in many areas of the business.
