Pros

Depending upon which division you work there may be good opportunities for building your resume. If you manage to be good friends with senior staff you will get special treatment(regular promotions, selection for training and change of role to what you desire)

Cons

Short sighted leadership Most senior staff in their positions because of affinity to someone instead of skill-set. This is clearly visible and spreads the suck-up and yes man culture instead of motivating people to perform better. Preach gallup but dont care about results after a few weeks Not a place for hard work but "smart" work types Management not trust worthy
