Pros

Positive culture, there is not a lot of negativity and dwelling on mistakes. Stryker wants you to learn and grow and provides a great environment to do so. There are no hang ups or negative perceptions to move into different roles/departments as long as you have the talent and are not trying to jump around too frequently. Compensation on par w/ the market as far as I'm concerned. Bonus incentives, commitment to work-life balance and wellness are active programs that are highly encouraged. The work is very rewarding- making healthcare better is something Stryker strives to do and when you are a part of this it is an awesome feeling. Nice work environment, Stryker has great facilities that are comfortable and conducive to helping me be productive. The people are the best, there are a lot of helpful co-workers that care about each other. HR seems to do a great job recruiting people, I really enjoy the diverse group of talented folks that I work with.

Cons

The quality system is disjointed from division to division despite trying to harmonize to being compliant to corporate requirements. The IT systems are disjointed within each division requiring multiple systems to log into that do not talk to each other... They are simply not integrated so there is redundancy w/ an inherent opportunity for inconsistency. Note that there is a large scale project right now to address this but the infrastructure is such that it will probably take years to fix. Health insurance seems expensive for the value, and this makes me question the weight of it compared to average salaries.

Pros

Plenty of learning opportunities, good place to gain experience in as many areas as you're willing to learn.

Cons

Not immune to average workplace issues. Despite the emphasis on culture, you'll still run into common issues that are present in just about any work environment.
