Unsafe and useless career path

Pros

Compensation and benefits are good

Cons

There are many cons in the way managers handle their employee. Partiality and favouritism is the only way for career growth. When someone leave, managers will tell others that the person was incapable of doing work and was feeling insecure even if he was a great resource. Manager or senior people in team may feel offended if you do not wish them "Good Morning"(sic). Your job is always at risk and your position can close anytime. No focus on career path. The best excuse for anything is "BUDGET IS TIGHT". (It remains TIGHT through out the year but managers some how get to LOOSEN it for their own use)

Pros

You do learn a lot and do receive the support to grow however, there is limited professional growth. Occasional off-sites. Benefits are okay.

Cons

A TON of favoritism. Unless you are kissing someone's butt you will not get anywhere. Pay is BELOW average and living in the silicon valley you are basically poor. Upper Management does not care about the entry level positions. I always see employees who only been there less then a year get promoted but people that been there for several years stuck in the same position. Supervisors are basically employees who haven't been there for a long time yet they somehow know everything to get to that point. If you hold an hourly position, you STILL have to clock in which their actual hand scan who does that these days? Their technology/program is sadly outdated and lots of flaws within their own system.

Too many restructurings and high office politics

Pros

There is none at the moment.

Cons

Senior management in Singapore office is biased, show favouritism, and often does not walk the talk. There's no leadership in the Singapore (local) office; evidently the recent head (less than 2 years of his appointment) has been replaced due to non performance although retirement announcement is just an excuse. Too many reorganisation in 2013. HR is extremely weak and they can't do anything to make a difference in the office morale. Employee turn over is too high as most employees are new, and for those who are there more than 3 years are often the head of office-politics. The annual employee feedback on the company and management performance are just for 'show' and often more meetings with employees just before survey is launched, in order to obtain high scores from employees.
