Pros

there is great job security. they're very careful not to over hire and try to use resources wisely. Very open with coorporate and divisional information and communication in general is very highly valued. in general it's a pretty postive work environment and optimism is encouraged for the most part. there's a lot of very intelligent people in one place and you can almost always find an answer to any questions you may have. there is always something new to learn if you seek it out.

Cons

success is very differentiated depending on department. they seem to have a hard time getting rid of the "bad eggs" or those holding back the rest of high achieving group members. choose your position wisely. opportunities for advancement can vary

Pros

Many opportunities for career advancement for entry level employees. Management possesses good leadership abilities in helping employees manage their careers. Good opportunities to switch between different business units and functional roles. Fast paced environment where you learn a lot, which is good for young employees. Lots of opportunities to take valuable training, such as lean manufacturing or supply chain certifications. Early career employees who are driven can move up the ladder quickly and can easily have a "Team Lead" role within a few years.

Cons

Very low compensation, poor work life balance (expect 12 hour days as the norm). It's in Kalamazoo, MI, so job opportunities for spouses are limited, not to mention the social scene isn't great.
