If I could go back in time I wouldn't work for Stryker
Pros
-Compensation ranges are good but you tend to hover on the low end -Health benefits are great and affordable -Good 401k as long as you can stick it out long enough to be vested
Cons
-The office politics are out of control -Poor communication and lots of micromanaging -HR is not on your side at all. They never try to get both sides of any story, nothing remains confidential, and they don't inform you of any issues that are occurring -They allow too much to be swept under the rug and they don't investigate issues you're having unless you're a manager. If you tell them about a problem or inappropriate situation it falls on deaf ears -People play games to get to the top and they will throw you under any bus to get ahead -Tons of lying and backstabbing -The environment here is very similar to junior high school, it's gossip gossip gossip -Unprofessional - let managers get away with bad mouthing former employees or people who still work for Stryker but are now in a different department. What kind of company thinks that's okay? -Career growth is difficult, as is applying internally
