Definitely great career opportunities to get promoted if you are performing. I’ve seen young professionals in their high 20s and low 30s become regional managers and marketing managers just from being a high sales performer. You can make $500K+ if you find the right territory.
Cons
100% commission as of 2026, most expensive products vs 5 other competitive companies, commoditized portfolio with minimal sole source contracts. Awarded with other vendors for all major GPO contracts, and hospitals always decide on the lower cost option rather than the premium that Stryker charges. If you do join Stryker try to find a product portfolio that is niche and a necessity to the hospital, not a “nice to have”. Implants, surgical equipment, beds are all need to have. Toothbrushes and cloths are nice to have.
