Pros

Pretty much a Pass/Fail atmosphere. Hit your quota and you're left alone to run your territory how you choose. Compensation in Sales is excellent. Great products. Creativity in writing your own proposals and working deals is unrivaled. Customer Service and Marketing Support is strong.

Cons

You are expected to win every deal, every time. Pressure is high. They tend to hire 90% of the same type of rep. Management opportunities and internal growth options are limited. Struggles with back order and long tenured reps definitely get preferential treatment.

Pros

Endless opportunities to try new areas. Fantastic work relationships. Stryker supports a very driven culture and provides many learning experiences which normally are not available to others.

Cons

Stryker is very metrics driven, and tends to not manage competing goals for multiple departments. This can sometimes lean towards struggles on cross functional team. Pretty weak at resource management, they are not afraid to over allocate and expect you to work long hours for long periods of time. This is particularly prevalent in RA/QA.

Pros

- Competitive compensation - They pay you at market rates.

Cons

- A lot of politics. If you have contacts at higher level, you can get done whatever you want against HR policies as well - Less growth opportunities - No freedom to present your ideas. Management is autocratic. They dont want to listen to you. If they dont like you, your life would be made hell. - Wont find very highly intellectual crowd - HR is not strong at all. There can be cases where the policies can be ignored. Employees can not bank on HR for support at all. - You can work beyond your responsibilities and still not be recognized or appreciated,
