Pros

Really good colleagues, straightforward and often rewarding work, flexible hours and generally good store managers, store was normally busy and thus shifts went quickly.

Cons

Zero-hour contracts, drunk and difficult customers, little incentive for employees to work harder, franchise unwilling to adequately invest in the store (equipment often broken), little opportunity for career progression (supervisory roles consisted of lots more responsibility for negligible wage increase).
