Pros

Estero office Management is friendly and interactive, with an open-door policy. Employees work together to help the community in different ways, keeping a positive atmosphere for everyone. Healthcare benefits are outstanding. Management supports movement/advancement within the company and encourages employees having/meeting career goals, with annual reviews. Overall, a great company!

Cons

Applied for a Controller position, but was interviewed for an Accountant position without me knowing. When I realized and asked about it to one of the interviewers, they did not have an answer and just said the duties are similar - however it is actually a completely different position with lower pay and less benefits. Hired to work at a project site an hour away from my home, but this was not disclosed to me until after I was hired. There is no compensation for my position for travel to the job site, but for other positions there is. When I asked HR about this, I never received an answer. Pro to this is there are other projects starting and the possibility of moving to one closer to home is there. I do wish there was more job-specific training. Initially had issues getting access to different programs, but all was rectified. After 4 months of employment with Suffolk, I am happy and would recommend working for this company to everyone.
