Pros

I had great coworkers, great benefits, pays higher than average general contractor, but you work many more hours to make up for the pay gap.

Cons

No work/life balance at all, long commute to jobsites (colleagues drove 150 miles round trip), redundant SOPs, no company culture whatsoever, 11 hour days are typical - anything less is looked down upon.

Pros

Great experience. Huge projects. Some of the sharpest project teams in the industry.

Cons

They treat employees like numbers. They expect you to work 60hrs a week and many weekends, but pay you for 40hrs. Regardless of how hard you work, everyone gets the same small raise at their annual review. They also do not give employee bonuses.

Cons

company president (john fish) is self-centered and egotistical, micro-managers, value production and schedule over a balanced family-work life, pay you for 40 hours want you to work 80 hours, a lot of nepotism (every other employee is related to the president)
