Pros

They offer stable job security for their Japanese personnel but might not apply to foreigners

Cons

1-Company is very traditional Japanese and does not welcome foreigners as decision makers, there is huge tendency in middle range management to keep the statuesque. 2-Promotions are mostly based on age and being able to talk Sumitomo language not your performance 3-There has been plenty of mental harassment cases, just because the boss can do what he wants here without being questioned in reality.

Pros

I interned with them. SEI is a traditional Japanese multi national company with a strong culture, and which is improving year after year. It is very well organized, it has world-class facilities. It operates in many countries and different industries. The people are kind, a lot of emphasis is put on the safety the employees. The management believes in continuous improvement. All employees can talk to senior managers. There are many opportunities to interact with managers at all levels.

Cons

As with many Japanese companies, the salaries do not correspond with the cost of living in Japan.

Pros

Good pay and a great challenge operating Expansion Machines. Good hard working people around. Day goes by fast as you're constant moving.

Cons

Breaks and lunches must be at or near machine. Some operators have no time to eat. The machines are old so much monitoring needed and can't take your eyes off of it.
