Pros

If you're looking to live in etown... Summit is a great place to get experience in different areas

Cons

Downside? I've seen fellow employees become wrapped up in work. At the end of the day... if you don't have personal management you will fail to grow.

Pros

None. This was by far the worst job that I have ever held

Cons

the 2 1/2 years I spent at Summit were pure hell. The productions expectations are ridiculous when you factor in the poor performance and maintance of the equiment and machines, the part standards that seem to change on an hourly basis and the line of communications between the upper management and the floor. You are expected to be available to work overtime on as little as 10mins notice, and hevan forbid if you have small children and are unable to aquire a back up sitter to work that overtime that you were given 10mins notice for. The chain of command is a joke and female employess who work on the factory floor are subject to constant harassment by not only their peers on the floor, but the upper level management. You cannot file a proper complaint without going through the management, even if they're the ones you have a complaint with. The attendance expectations, while not obscenely insane, leave little room for exceptions. One former coworker had a seizure on the floor and was taken out of the plant by ambulance.....and had a mark on her attendence record for "Leaving work early" that night!
