Pros

-Stable job if you do not say anything to anyone

Cons

-Culture is very conservative and not up to date with the times -Almost all male management -Almost zero diversity -No salary increases -Can and will change your salary whenever they want too -No real leadership -The golden employees will have more say than you ever will and will not be evaluated or fired for anything -Working from home is not an option, or at the very least, the managers will pressure you to come into the office because they need to see you working -Have not changed actual quotas in over 20 years -The same people are rewarded, not for their sales ability, but rather for what they were given years ago -The massive ego's of some of the sales reps/account managers -Very toxic culture -Removed ten days of PTO/ sick leave at the beginning of 2020 (it used to be 15 PTO and ten days sick leave, and now it's just 15 combined days) -Forced 32 hour work weeks and a surprise reduction in pay as a result - despite being a salaried employee (this applies to every salaried employee at SumnerOne) -The executive level of management and other employees signed a vote of no confidence and removed another executive; and this person was removed for about a year and are now back in charge of the same employees

We sincerely appreciate you taking the time to share your feedback. Your review raises serious concerns that we do not condone within our company culture. We are committed to providing an inclusive environment and want to ensure that all of our employees are treated in a fair manner and feel comfortable enough to speak with someone about these issues. We do not take these allegations lightly, and strongly encourage you to contact a member of our company’s human resources department (recruitment@sumnerone.com) so we can properly address this.

Pros

Great people in Service. All about quality and doing it right the first time. Good teamwork and willingness to provide a service with the company in mind.

Cons

Overworked, underpaid. Ideal if you're a Sales Rep. No recognition or incentives for service other than a $50 gift card for Walmart if you have the most survey cards returned. Expected to work on personal time. Shady on mileage reimbursement. Some segment managers micromanage to the extreme. Tight-fisted when it comes to raises. Numbers can look great, customers can like you and can have all positive accommodations but at review time the excuses are plentiful. Don't expect more than a 25% raise and thats if you get one.

This post is for the wrong company. Perhaps it was for another Datamax company. The following references are not part of any existing or previous company program: a) we don't offer gift cards to Walmart, b) we don't have a survey card return program, and c) we don't have "Segment Managers." We do provide annual job reviews, performance-based raises, and a service-oriented bonus program with an opportunity for monetary incentive. We do have a service department career path with mentoring to provide guidance and promote achievement.
