Pros

Being able to work on a product that is not only reaching tens of millions of people every day but is also helping positively impact our customer's businesses and lives. Opportunities for personal and professional growth. Transparency from upper management with clearly defined goals. Good benefits and additional perks like free lunch, massages and bi-annual retreats.

Cons

We're growing fast and our office can feel a bit cramped at times. We're moving into a bigger office soon, so it's all good. It's really just a byproduct of our success thus far, so more of a humblebrag than a con.

Pros

No joke, the Sumo team is truly a family! #SumoLife We work hard, we hang out, we have fun, and we all love what we do. We have a small team full of ROCKSTARS (some of the smartest people I've ever worked with) that are generating amazing results while helping businesses all over the world make an impact. You've probably heard many times that a company has a great culture but I always took it with a grain of salt b/c honestly who is going to tell you the culture at a company sucks. But since joining the Sumo Fam this is TRULY a place that has an AMAZING culture, an amazing team, and we are all Our leaders focus heavily on keeping that culture alive. If you want to be apart of a special team, doing special things come join the Sumo Fam --> it will be one of those moments in your life when you look back and know this was the point in time that changed the trajectory of my life in an amazing way.

Cons

Besides the fact that we're located on E. 6th street so I have to drive from North Austin every day and play this game called "People Don't Know How To Drive On I-35" #FirstWorldProblems...there isn't one complaint from me. When I leave the office each day, I'm excited to go to sleep so I can wake up and come back #NoBS

SumoMe is King

Pros

Extremely receptive to implementing feedback. Have you ever offered tangible solutions to the problems your company might be facing to only watch them fall by the wayside? Yeah, that doesn’t happen at SumoMe. Noah and Anton love when you question why we do things, and they’re very open to trying new things. We just got two monkeys in the office to help increase sales by 20-40%. (Kidding) Work REALLY Hard and celebrate accomplishments I love being able to come to work, bust my butt and do what I need to do and then celebrate my accomplishments and those of my fellow Sumos. I also love that Anton and Noah allow us to do what we need to do as long as we get our work done and hit our goals. Smart & Honest People Everyone here is extremely smart, and super willing to answer questions. But also, more importantly, everyone is very honest. I'll give you an example. We have monthly meetings with everyone on the sales team. After the meeting ended, we were asked: "What did you think of the meeting? Was it helpful?" And some said no. We then figured out what we could do to make it more beneficial for everyone involved. I know that wouldn’t have happened at my last job. No bureaucracy Anti-corporate here. Meetings here are super short and effective. You got a question? Walk over and ask. Or slide into their slack DM. Tons of learning and adapting I'm sitting in the room with all the decision makers, being able to listen to their conversations, ask them questions, and pick their brains. We're changing quickly and so there's a lot of things we're learning. You def need to be okay with not having a set structure for everything, and figuring it out as you go along.

Cons

Not really a con, but more so a reality of where the company is. If you are looking for a job where you are going to be comfortable, this job is not for you. We're in a growth stage and we're working hard to hit our goals. Everyday, every week, every month the job is changing, the company is changing, and you will also have to adapt with it.
