Pros

You get the ability to interact with many teams and workers across the globe. The campus is pretty decent. Flexible management.

Cons

There was a large age difference among my coworkers and I. It would have been a better experience if we were able to get along better.

Cons

high org hierarhy, very political environment, limited advancemen oportunities, dry subject matter, red tape, undecisive management, outdated technology, conservative, top-to-bottom decision making

Pros

SunLife used to have a great practice of hiring from within. The compensation can be in the top quartile if your boss likes you. You will end up with may friends at the company, as opposed to just co-workers.

Cons

In the past 12-18 months there has been a major shift at the senior management level, and roughly 20-40% of every dept has been laid off...only to be replaced with friends of the new senior management team.
