Pros

The coworkers and some of the managers, that's honestly it. The people I worked with were some of the brightest, warm, diligent and funny people I've had the pleasure to work with.

Cons

The pay is peanuts for the amount of work you do (essentially doing other departments work because they're too lazy). The hours are horrendous because you have to work around Canadian and American coworkers. The help desk is also a 24 hour service, so for one week you'll do an afternoon shift, the next week you could be doing nights and then the week after you could be rostered for early mornings. Trying to use your time off is a nightmare too. The culture in there is toxic as well. A few of the managers were decent people who were good at their jobs, but the majority of them seemed to be company yes men who towed the line. I'm sure the company as a whole is decent to work for, but the Service Desk isn't. They're treated as dogsbodies for every other department. Some of the coworkers would make Gordon Gecko blush with how quickly they're willing to trample over the bodies of their colleagues and blab about mistakes to management all so they can get ahead.
