Pros

Opportunities are available for those who are dedicated and put the work in to grow and develop. Positive culture with room to learn and advance. Flexible, hybrid work schedule. Weekly paychecks are a perk I never knew I needed!

Cons

If you are motivated and a focused self starter, you will thrive in this environment; leaders and execs do not hand-hold and expect you to pull your weight. This is a sales driven role.

Thank you for sharing your experience! There is something nice about a weekly paycheck, and even more so, opportunities to learn, grow, and influence the outcomes of the company. We're glad you're here!

Pros

Sunstate is in the midst of a real, and necessary transformation. Many construction companies are standing still - doing what they've always done the way it's always been done. This won't bode well for the future generation of construction leaders and companies. Sunstate is modernizing how it operates, leads, and competes, which brings disruption but also opportunity. There is clear direction from leadership and a strong focus on building a scalable, competitive business that can deliver an exceptional customer and employee experience over the long term. For professionals who enjoy shaping the future rather than inheriting the past, there is meaningful career acceleration here. The energy is forward-looking, with increased accountability, clarity, and momentum that appeals to people who want to build, influence, and grow.

Cons

Change at this scale can be uncomfortable. Longstanding processes, roles, and expectations are being challenged, and that can feel unsettling. The pace is demanding, and a company in transition asks more of its people, particularly those helping lead change from within. This environment may not be the right fit for individuals seeking the status quo.

Pros

Decent work/life balance, decent compensation

Cons

Since the new CEO took over, the company introduced unnecessary layoffs. This completely goes against the values espoused by the previous leadership.

Thank you for your feedback. We understand that the recent restructuring has been difficult. The decision was not made lightly, but was part of a broader effort to align our structure with long-term growth and scalability. While the approach may feel different, our commitment to people and purpose remains part of our core values. We’re focused on building a strong, sustainable future that honors Sunstate’s legacy while adapting to embrace the opportunities ahead.
