Pros
I have been with the company for 5 months and have had nothing but positive experiences. On my first day, I went from a flex officer to a full time officer. Overtime has never been a problem because it is always there for those who want it. All you have to do is take the overtime when it's offered and you will keep getting calls for extra hours.
If you put forth effort and do your job, you can move up in the company. I talked to my Operations Manager (Arielle Kinney) and told her that I want to advance in the company. Right away, she started giving me ideas about what I needed to do to make that happen. And, she checks on my progress every month. There are opportunities to move up in the company, one just has to take advantage of them.
Sunstates recognizes officers in the Lancer, which is their newspaper. This goes a long way toward letting officers know that they are appreciated. The Lancer is also another form of communication where one can keep up with what is happening within the company.
People complain about the pay, but it is on target with the industry. Some sites pay above the average. It depends on the client which is also an industry standard.
As far as communication, the Charlotte Office is always in contact with their officers. I have always gotten answers to my questions within 24 hours. And, my Operations Manager goes above and beyond to make sure officers have what they need to do their jobs.
Cons
I have had only positive experiences during my time with the company. There are no cons that I can think of.
