Pros

Some of the coworkers are really good people. The benefits and pay are decent.

Cons

most of the people are two-faced, expectations are laid out but then not followed through on, the amount of work expected is extreme, and job requires and class schedules can change with little to no warning, what's said during interviews to convince you to come is likely a lie

Pros

It's a small community where you get to know most everyone on campus, depending on your job position. However, both upper and middle administration already have a predetermined outcome for filling job postings. If they're hellbent on hiring an external candidate, internal candidates have ZERO chance; if they're promoting a favored employee, even the best external candidate has NO chance to get hired.

Cons

Very inbred thinking, increasing the silo effect at the expense of collaborative work, and nearly no accountability for hostile co-workers. As long as you don't threaten someone's life, you can be as grotesquely demeaning to colleagues and all they get is a simple "conversation."

Pros

Nice atmosphere, great people working at the institution, family atmosphere, decent facilities.

Cons

Top down management style recently, ideas from staff and faculty tend to be pushed aside even if they are ideas that could significantly help the institution
