Pros
Tight, collaborative community. It is common to encounter colleagues (both teaching and non-teaching staff) who have been with the school for 15-30 years. Instructors share teaching ideas across departments and divisions. Very down-to-earth culture with good work/life balance - most people seem happy working there.
Cons
Students vary widely in terms of preparation and skill - but this is what makes the job positively challenging and meaningful too. Salaries are relatively low and resources are limited, but benefits are good.
