      Stock grants and success of the company was surprising

      Cons

      Coming from a big corporation to SMCI can be daunting as a number of the sales tools being used are archaic. Lots of overlapping sales pipelines being used... Also lots of internal managerial issues causing delays in responding to customers.

      It’s a stepping stone for you if you’re planning to join a big corp.

      Cons

      Very bureaucratic, the mgmt team seems not have a plan. All they ask/ advocate is sell,sell,sell but their plans sound weird all the time. If you worked hard, your team member will stab you at the back. The HR are generally terrible, not descent and bluff the salary package and you’ll never get that number. No career plan here

      Great for networkship. Almost everyone in the hardware industry has somehow works at Supermicro.

      Cons

      internal politics. no real sense of direction where the company is going.
