Pros

- Flexible Hours and willingness to work with my schedule - Paid internship that was consistently renewed and had opportunity to advance - Great Supervisors who looked out for me and helped me grow professionally

Cons

- Organization was floundering some, so it was not always the most cheerful - Upper management listened to department's request for a new part time employee... But then laid off another employee to make up for the additional cost

Pros

The overall concept of helping people is good. And the more you are not at headquarters, the more you will experience this.

Cons

Upper management is harsh and creates a toxic environment in which to work. There is very little respect or encouragement for original ideas. There ia a lot of micromanagement and negative chatter throughout the office. Hardly any chance for advancement. Very little chance for professional development. Also, nearly everything is presented like an emergency. There is no respect for work-life balance because even though they failed to inform you of a project that needed to be done in a timely manner, you are expected to complete it immediately regardless of anything else going on either as part of your job or part of your life.
