Issues with the company that handles time management were not clearly communicated For at least 2 pay periods straight checks were not properly paid out to employees with no real explanation It is very hard to offer exemplary customer service when you are not being paid as agreed upon

Pros

Lots of entry level jobs. Decent training. Generally friendly coworkers. They can be a fresh start for entry level folks.

Cons

“Customer service” jobs are really sales. At a certain level of management, it clearly becomes a good ‘ol boys network. Compare the % of women and Blacks in entry level jobs with the % in mid/upper management. Often who you know matters more than what you know. Be willing and able to discuss playing golf, lawn care, and wineries.

Great foot in the door to get sales experience

Cons

Working under a client separate from Sutherland there were no opportunities for growth. Attendance policies suck, managers don't reply when you need a leave of absence and they deny your PTO. You are not paid back your PTO and it does not carry over into the next year, so it goes to waste.
