      Sutter HR Needs Desperately to Get It Together

      Friendly, fun, energetic despite the normal stress of an OR.

      Cons

      No matter how great the unit manager was, she could not help us with Sutter corporate HR. They under withheld my taxes by more than $4,000, they charged me for extra PTO consistently, they made mistakes on NEARLY EVERY PAYCHECK. Talking to their staff is often like talking to someone in 7th grade. They could not understand basic concepts. Everyone had major issues with HR. I.e., some people were short $800 in one paycheck.

      Great company at one time, declining in recent years

      Pros

      Great experience in many different facets of Cardiology. Picked up a lot of great skills.

      Cons

      Low base pay, short staffing and dissolved positions after employees had quit, no more holiday bonus, shrunken annual raise and new management which failed to value the worth of long-time employees.

      Great team and management in specific division. New CEO from outside the system which should be good to clear out all of the tenured management which has been very bad for employee moral and strategy.

      Cons

      Old tenured management which has mostly been promoted from within which has not been good for strategy and employee morale.
