Pros

Culture to retain employees is important to SPS. Leave time is flexible to tend to personal needs as well as start time (depending on your role).

Cons

Turnover and re-organizations have occurred more often than I'm accustomed to. Frequent change is definitely something to take into account if looking into applying. I've been with SPS for 3+ years and have gone through as many role changes if not more (depending on how you look at it) in that same amount of time. Pay is not as competitive when compared to other similar organizations in the area for the same position. Also, experience and knowledge doesn't seem to line up with pay. Often it seems that overly vocal or buddy-buddy staff get the nod first for new projects and/or promotions.

This is great feedback, thank you for sharing. We work hard on upholding a strong culture that allows us to retain the best employees. SPS’s growth has been a key business objective which has inherently posed some notable challenges – one of which is constant change (as you referenced with turnover & re-orgs). We have been, and will continue to be, committed to our employees to reallocate/repurpose talent wherever there are future needs and where situations permit. Thank you for being nimble during these times. We hear your concerns about compensation and are working with our HR partners on a plan. We strive to be market competitive and realize this is an area of improvement. More to come on that. Regarding career opportunities and growth – we empower our employees to take charge of their own development. We as leaders are here to support this development and to mentor/coach you through this journey. We welcome you with open doors to talk with us and make your goals/aspirations known. Open communication = greater awareness and understanding. Thanks again for your candor and for your continued efforts to Do Work That Matters.
